TAKING DEPOSITS FOR OUR 2025 LITTERS!!!
The foundation for great puppies begins with parents of good genetics, who are healthy and beautiful, with good temperaments. Proper rearing from the start is crucial in developing the temperament they were born with, into one that is well-suited for life as a human companion. At Monument Goldens, we have a carefully planned method of raising our puppies, from birth to 8 weeks, that gives them the best possible foundation for life.
At Monument Goldens, we prioritize the well-being of our puppies by ensuring that someone is present in the home for over 95% of the time, and by maintaining clean living spaces throughout the day. We ensure that our puppies begin their lives in a clean, dry environment, and maintain that standard until they leave our home. We begin potty training our puppies at 3 1/2 weeks old, by using a pan filled with pine pellets.
We start working with our puppies as soon as they are born, through the process of Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS). ENS is a series of exercises, which include holding the puppies in different positions, touching their paw pads, tummies, ears, tails, and overall different handling exercises. Studies by the U.S. Military have shown that this type of early stimulation helps puppies to develop more confidence and a greater ability to handle difficult situations.
At Monument Goldens, we ensure that our puppies are exposed to a variety of sights and sounds commonly found in a busy household. This includes vacuum cleaners, music, TV, people coming and going, washer/dryer, and more, to help them develop confidence and adaptability to different environments. We also play a variety of sounds such as fireworks and thunder. A wide variety of toys, that we rotate, are always available and small agility equipment like tunnels and wobble boards helps instill confidence.
Puppies at our home are exposed to regular, positive human interactions. This includes handling, cuddling and playing. This helps them become well-adjusted and confident. Positive early interactions with people, play a crucial role in shaping how well a puppy will bond with their new family. Each puppy is lovingly raised to be kid-friendly, well socialized, happy and healthy in our home with our children. Our puppies interact and play with children everyday.
